Who is the face of Jesus? Our youth erased all images they have received of Jesus, then painted Jesus based on their understanding and perspective. The results are above. Aren’t they stunning!

Caroline Nolan (top row left) – “I think Jesus looks more like a girl because of how he takes care of the children – the way a mother would.”

Isabel Stewart (top row middle) – “He loves all people and not just one. I think he had long hair because he didn’t have things to cut it with. He helped make nature.”

Kaden Thomas (top row right) – “Jesus is like Aquaman because he takes care of the fish and people and they take care of him too.”

Patrick Nolan (bottom row left) – “Jesus looks like a lion because he takes care of others and is strong.”

Priscilla Jacobo (bottom row middle) – “This is what I had in mind of what Jesus looked like. I picked this because I wanted to do a picture of him floating to heaven. I put his clothes like this because the Bible told me what he wore and what he looked like. I put a stone place where he got put when he died.”

Selena Jacobo (bottom row right) – “This is what I think Jesus looks like. You all might think he looks different. That’s ok, because we are all the faces of Jesus, even if you are American, African American, Mexican, Marshalese, European, or any different race. We are all the same. As we grow closer to Jesus our lives will reflect him more clearly. When life knocks you down, stand up and say “Bring it on” I have Jesus on my side!”

These young people led the entire worship service:  prayers, Scripture reading, piano playing, sermon and all. Good job!
